Session two: Engaging students through visually accented narratives
Scholar, educator and author Rebecca Boone, Professor of History at Lamar University, brings history to life for her students using visually enhanced narratives. Her book, Real Lives in the Sixteenth Century: A Global Perspective, has received accolades for its vibrant narratives connecting figures across the globe. In this session, Rebecca will share her approach to drawing historical connections between literature and visuals in the classroom, and answer questions about the resources and techniques she uses in instruction, writing, and research.
