JSTOR partners with TypeCite to make citations easy

JSTOR has partnered with TypeCite, a free citation tool that specializes in APA, MLA, and Harvard formats, to provide JSTOR users with metadata (title of journal, edition, number, pagination details, contributor details, etc.) when generating citations to academic journals.

TypeCite will analyze our metadata to generate the most accurate and complete citations for our users, saving them time and effort so they can focus on the tasks of writing and research. We hope you will find this free resource… Read more»

New on JSTOR Workspace: Export to PDF

In our research, we learned that faculty often manually create handouts with content links to upload to their LMS. As part of our efforts to improve teaching with texts and images, we have made it easy to export the content on your JSTOR Workspace or in one of its folders as PDFs.

Social sign-on now available for JSTOR

As demands for remote access and teaching continue to grow, JSTOR has expanded its remote access options with Google social sign-on capabilities. This option allows students, faculty, and staff to log in using their institutional email addresses provisioned by Google.

Librarians can now request JSTOR social sign-on authentication for their institution.

New on JSTOR: full-screen view

Good news: You can now read articles on JSTOR in full-screen view! Simply click the “View Full Screen” option to make use of the entire browser area.

Once in full-screen mode, you can zoom in and navigate to next and previous pages. Also, users with low vision are now be able to increase the size of the text. And this feature is keyboard navigable, meaning you can use can use the arrow keys to move a zoomed-in page scan.… Read more»

A new way to share sources on JSTOR

JSTOR has introduced a feature that supports collaboration in your research and teaching by allowing you to easily share a list of sources you save in My Workspace.

My Workspace is JSTOR’s citation-management tool. It allows you to save and organize your journal articles and book chapters from JSTOR along with other references found on the web, and now you can share this research with colleagues, students, and friends.
